Extented Runtime Modules (ERMs)

Adding ERMs to HPs XR series UPS means additional back-up time for critical devices.

Up to two ERMs could be added – depending on HP UPS model. You will find the specific ERM part

number in the UPS product tables (page 13 and 14).

Back-up time example for UPS R5500 XR & load = 4000 Watt:

• Back-up time with standard/built-in battery: 8 minutes

• Back-up time with standard/built-in battery + 1 ERM: 27 minutes

• Back-up time with standard/built-in battery + 2 ERM: 50 minutes

Communication options (replaces the mounted serial card in the UPS X-Slot)

SNMP/serial port card

This X-slot card gives network administrators the ability to perform simultaneous network and out-of-band

communications. It provides SNMP functionality including power event alerts, network power diagnostics,

and remote UPS reboot and testing. It also features out-of-band (modem) communications, meaning that alerts

can be received even if the network is down. Power-related problems on the network can be quickly discovered

and remedied.

Six port card

This X-slot card provides independent serial communication channels from the UPS to up to three connected

servers. These servers could run different operating systems and be connected to the same UPS.

Power output options

R12000 XR back plate receptacle kit (x2 IEC-309)

This kit (only available for HP UPS R12000 XR) allows you to plug in up to two devices with IEC-309/32 A

(single-phase). Examples: single-phase power enclosures for HP blade servers, EVA 3000/5000 or PDUs

with supplied IEC-309 connectors (32A mPDU and PDU with power monitoring/single phase).
