Inserting a PC Card
CAUTION:
To prevent damage to the connectors, use minimal
pressure as you insert a PC Card into a PC Card slot
NOTE:
Unless the computer is running Windows NT 4.0 without
CardWare provided by Compaq, it is not necessary to shut down
the computer before inserting a PC Card unless you are
specifically instructed to do so in the PC Card documentation.
1. Hold the PC Card with the label side up.
2. With the 68-pin side of the PC Card facing the PC Card slot,
gently push the card into the slot until it is seated.
3. In Windows NT 4.0 with CardWare provided by Compaq,
restart the computer if you are instructed to do so by the
PC Card documentation or a prompt on the screen.
