2. Verify that the green GBIC LED illuminates on all of the ports with a

GBIC Module.

3. Verify that the Bypass LED illuminates on all connected ports not

participating on the loop. For example, Port 2 in the figure below is not

participating in the loop. Ports that do not detect valid FC-AL links will

be automatically bypassed. To be a valid link, both ends of the cable

must be connected to active, powered, FC-AL devices.
